Job purpose: This role serves as a Project Assistant (Integration) within IOM, focusing on supporting migrant populations. The primary purpose is to provide clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate information to migrants residing in reception facilities, ensuring their effective access to available services. The position involves facilitating initial reception and orientation, mapping local services, and promoting active participation of beneficiaries in decision‑making processes that affect their well‑being and access to resources.
By developing community engagement mechanisms and ensuring feedback is addressed, the role contributes to strengthening migrant resilience, promoting autonomy, fostering positive coexistence, and enhancing psychosocial well‑being within the reception center.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include providing clear, timely, and culturally appropriate information to migrants in reception facilities, and supporting their initial reception and orientation. This involves informing them about facility rules, available services, rights, and duties. The role requires identifying and mapping local services (health, social, educational) to facilitate beneficiary access. Promoting active participation and developing community engagement mechanisms to gather feedback are crucial.
