Together with the Business Cloud Services team the Cloud DevOps Engineer will design, deploy and operate an infrastructure-as-code-driven PaaS platform on Azure and AKS cloud infrastructure, enabling scalable cloud-native services for central banks and payment providers worldwide.The role requires an automation-first mindset and close collaboration within an international Scrum team across Spain, Germany and India.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cloud-native automation and self-service platform capabilities while ensuring platform security, availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with development teams on deployment strategies and operational requirements, and conduct code reviews for infrastructure-as-code configurations and pipeline definitions.
- Coordinate with support teams on platform incidents and escalations, contributing to effective incident response and continuous operational improvement.
- Support the refinement of DevOps practices and operational runbooks within the team to enhance reliability and developer experience on the platform.
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters and PaaS environments on Azure/AKS infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, and enforce infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Helm and Ansible.
- Manage container workloads and orchestration across cloud-native environments, and set up and maintain monitoring and alerting stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana and alerting pipelines.
Required Skills
- At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Linux system administration skills suitable for operating production-grade cloud-native platforms.
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools and Azure cloud environments, including AKS.
- Cloud-native monitoring expertise using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Security compliance knowledge, particularly in relation to PCI DSS and SOC2, and practical experience using Git for version control.
- Scripting skills for automation and tooling, with Terraform, Bash, Python and PowerShell preferred.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise, including cluster management, RBAC, networking and storage.
- Proficiency with Helm, Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell, and CI/CD toolchain experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent solutions.
- Solid understanding of container technologies such as Docker and working with container registries.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish would be a plus)
