The Assistant Store Director oversees daily store operations and provides leadership and direction to achieve profitable operation of the assigned retail store. The Assistant Store Director ensures that the goals of full, fresh, clean, and friendly are achieved and that a positive environment that engages and empowers all team members is maintained at store level. The Assistant Store Director is responsible for development of all direct reports, including department team leaders and all store team members. The Assistant Store Director is to continually grow the team's capacity for efficiency, effectiveness and service and meet the company's succession needs. Ensures store operations are in full compliance with company, Federal, State, local regulatory safety, labor, workers compensation and health requirements.
Ensures a safe,



healthy, and compliant environment for team members and customers through proactive safety programs, training, communication, and continuous improvement.
Clearly communicates and enforces standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety to all team members.
Perform additional management duties as assigned.
Cultivates a culture of high performance and accountability. Sets clear performance expectations for Department Team Leaders and follows-up with timely performance evaluations and development plans.
Lead team members in safety training and education initiatives.
Guarantees store has the staffing needed to deliver expected service, particularly important for service areas and front end.
