Role Mission
Lead the development of social-first strategy for SAMY’s clients, translating business and brand challenges into culturally relevant, creatively ambitious social strategies.
The Social Media Strategy Director will sit within the Strategy team, reporting to Nieves Duran, Head of Research & Strategy at SAMY, and act as the strategic bridge between clients, creative, social, content, community and other specialist teams.



The role is responsible for setting a clear strategic direction, identifying opportunities in emerging social behaviors and creator culture, and ensuring that social thinking is embedded in the broader brand and creative agenda.
Key responsibilities
- Lead social strategy for key clients, translating business and brand challenges into clear, actionable social direction.
- Define the social vision and point of view for brands, identifying opportunities across platforms, communities, creators and emerging behaviours.
- Lead senior client relationships , acting as a trusted strategic partner and confidently challenging and guiding clients.
- Connect strategy and creativity , working closely with Creative, Social, Community, Content and Account teams to turn strategy into standout work.
- Bring social and cultural intelligence into the agency, staying ahead of new platforms, formats, creators, codes and behaviours.
