Do you want to shape how millions of customers worldwide build their shopping baskets? Join Amazon's Espresso team, where we're building the next generation of the basket building experience: intelligent, personalized, and designed to turn a customer's shopping habits into a full basket in seconds.

We're a Madrid-based engineering team building basket building experiences for a worldwide audience - starting with Europe as our priority and expanding across the US and beyond. Our work sits at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, personalization, and customer-facing experiences that reach millions of shoppers. On this team, engineers are partners in product decisions, not just executors - you'll help decide what we build and why, then own building it.

As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you will:

-

- Help define product direction alongside product managers and scientists - bringing your technical insight to shape what we build, not just how
- Design, build, and operate high-scale, low-latency services that power personalized basket building experiences across Amazon's worldwide marketplaces
- Own features end-to-end - from design and implementation to deployment and operational excellence - in a modern AWS-native environment
- Raise the bar on engineering quality through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship

You’ll love working here because:

-
- Real customer impact - the code you ship reaches millions of customers worldwide
- A voice in the product - engineers here influence roadmap and product decisions, not just tickets
- Ownership and autonomy - you own meaningful services and see them through
- Growth - work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and product partners in a collaborative, feedback-rich culture
- Location - based in Madrid, part of Amazon's growin
