Overview
In this role you help ensure compliant movement of goods across international borders and coordinate internal controls for trade activities. You’ll work with Logistics, Customs Brokers, and internal stakeholders to maintain documentation, monitor compliance, and support regulatory reviews. You’ll contribute to integral trade programs and drive process governance and continuous improvement. This position offers exposure to cross-functional governance and a focus on audit readiness and regulatory adherence.
Responsabilidades
- Execute standard operating routines to support logistics performance and controls
- Track actions with due dates and owners, escalating aging items
- Prepare meeting materials for operating reviews, controls checkpoints, and audits
- Triage issues by collecting facts and routing to owners for resolution
- Build and maintain routine reports and trackers using spreadsheets and system outputs
- Validate data completeness and coordinate corrections with owners
- Maintain process documentation (SOPs, narratives, job aids) with approved changes
- Support training deployment and refresher sessions
- Coordinate requests across Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT Security, and third-party partners
- Assist import/export documentation for customs and other agencies
- Support customs entry audits by reviewing origin, classification, valuation, duties, and documentation
- Track compliance issues, corrective actions, and follow-ups for risk mitigation
- Maintain records for regulatory retention and audit readiness
- Coordinate documentation requests for audits and government reviews
- Support trade programs like C-TPAT, duty drawback, and FTAs
- Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports for compliance performance
- Identify process improvements and assist with SOP updates
Requisitos principales
- 3+ years in trade compliance, customs brokerage, international logistics, or related area
- Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional partners
- Experience coordinating audits and internal controls testing
- Familiarity with tariff classification, country of origin, valuation, and import/export documentation
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and international trade requirements
- Experience with C-TPAT, drawback, or similar trade programs
- Experience coordinating access reviews and segregation of duties for business applications
- Excellent documentation, communication, and data analysis skills
- Proficient in spreadsheets and ERP/WMS/Shipment Visibility tools
- Experience with government agency requirements for imports/exports
- Experience with recordkeeping and regulatory retention
