Responsible for designing, developing and testing software modules, ensuring optimal functionality and integration within complex systems. The role demands a combination of in-depth technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Collaborate within a cross-functional, agile team
Own the full software delivery lifecycle: design, implement, deploy, release, and monitor applications
Work alongside Solution Architects to design software solutions aligned with the Bank’s overall architecture vision
Engage actively in internal Software Engineering communities by sharing knowledge and supporting peers
Conduct pull request reviews and deliver high‑quality code that adheres to Julius Baer’s engineering guidelines and standards
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent proven working experience
Experience: Minimum of seven years of Java development experience, along with minimum of three years of Frontend / Full-Stack development experience
Spring Boot, service-oriented architecture, RESTful services, SQL (Oracle), React/Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kubernetes (PKS), Virtual Machines, streaming (Kafka,



Avro), OpenAPI, and UML
Proven delivery experience using test-oriented development approaches, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), with a strong appreciation for automated testing and quality assurance measures
DevOps understanding: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and modern deployment concepts
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and business stakeholders in a cross‑cultural environment
Language: English C1 level with fluent business proficiency
Bonus: Experience with AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or similar is a plus
