Business Information Security Officer Madrid | Working from home up to 40% | Reference 7942
Information security is a key requirement for the successful and compliant operation of Securities Services. As a Business Information Security Officer (BISO), you act as the main point of contact for information security topics within Securities Services, supporting the appropriate handling of security risks, regulatory obligations, and internal security requirements in line with SIX standards.
In this role, you work closely with business, IT, and security stakeholders to ensure that information security requirements are well understood and applied in a pragmatic and business‑oriented manner. You will collaborate with central security teams, IT, legal, risk, and compliance functions, and be part of the wider BISO community within SIX.
Act as a key contact and advisor for information security topics within the assigned business area, supporting managers and key stakeholders
Advise and support projects, applications,



and initiatives in implementing information security requirements in line with SIX standards and best practices
Contribute to the identification, assessment, and handling of information security risks affecting the business area
Facilitate effective collaboration between business, IT, and security functions to ensure pragmatic and proportionate security solutions
Support the interpretation and application of regulatory, contractual, and internal security requirements (e.g. data protection, industry standards)
4 years of professional experience in information security, IT risk, IT, or a related field. Relevant training or certification in information security will be a plus
~ Good understanding of information security principles, risk management, and control concepts with ability to understand technical security topics and communicate them clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
~ Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to financial services is an advantage
~ Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) German is an advantage but not mandatory
