We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Life Sciences team in Barcelona. You will play a key role in Pathfinder, a strategic new initiative focused on designing and delivering a modern, scalable, and maintainable application that will have a meaningful impact on the life sciences industry. As part of a cross-functional team, you will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an agile environment, driving architectural decisions, establishing engineering best practices, and leading the development of a greenfield product from the ground up. Given the strategic importance of Pathfinder, you will provide strong technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, helping accelerate delivery, mitigate technical risks, and ensure alignment with the long-term platform strategy. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience. 5 years of industry experience in Java (Spring Boot) and NodeJS, as well as developing backend RESTful services within a microservices architecture. Experience with SQL, Elastic search y AWS 5 years of experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Good knowledge and understanding of Version Control tools (preferably Git) It would be great if you also had . . . Experience of working within an Agile delivery environment. Experience running services in docker. Experience using Jenkins.
