? FPI Predoctoral Position in Hydrogen Safety | EXH2 Project

Would you like to pursue a PhD combining hydrogen experimentation, large-scale explosion testing, and CFD simulation?

We are looking for a candidate to join the EXH2 project at the Laboratorio Oficial José María de Madariaga (LOM), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). The project investigates hydrogen explosions in modular facilities and develops criteria to improve their safety.
The PhD will combine experimental work, instrumentation, and data analysis with modelling using FLACS-CFD.
We offer a four-year predoctoral contract, specialised training, participation in international conferences and scientific publications, as well as research stays at international research centres.





? Candidate profile: Engineering graduates with a Master’s degree and an interest in hydrogen, industrial safety, CFD simulation, programming, and experimental work. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements established in the call.
