About the team The AI team is the backbone of Avatia's product. We design, build, and operate the shared AI/ML infrastructure, libraries, and tooling that let the team ship reliable, business-critical AI into the hands of pharma commercial users.

We work at the intersection of AI and software: setting technical direction,



collaborating closely across product and engineering, and turning complexity into leverage. If that's where you do your best work, this is the right place to make your mark.

What you'll do

· Productize AI/ML models and LLMs by building APIs, infrastructure, and applying strong software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, versioning).

· Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines (data → model → deployment → monitoring) autonomously.

· Partner with AI and product engineers to bring agentic AI solutions from prototype to production.

· Build and maintain the APIs, tools, and libraries the AI team relies on daily, including LLM and cloud infrastructure.

· Own complex projects and lead technical initiatives from design to implementation (refactoring, standardization, evals, observability).

· Ensure the quality of your own and your team's work, and help define new software and ML standards.

· Communicate clearly: present results, surface gaps and opportunities, and explain trade-offs and designs in simple terms.

· Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.

What we're looking for

· 3 years of experience building and shipping AI/ML systems in production.

· Solid AI/ML fundamentals, strong Python, and strong SQL.





· Experience with LLMs and agentic systems (multi-agent workflows, tool use, MCP, guardrails, evaluation) in production.

· Experience with Langfuse, LangGraph, Pydantic, and Pydantic AI.

· Hands-on experience with APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

· Strong software engineering practices and a track record of owning complex projects end to end.

· Outstanding problem-solving, and the judgment to make pragmatic trade-offs.

· A builder's mindset: you enjoy shipping reliable solutions, improving systems and tooling, and making things work at scale.

· A strong collaborator who works well with engineers, product, and domain experts.

· A startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, proactive, hands-on, and willing to improve things beyond your immediate scope.

· Willingness and ability to mentor more junior engineers.

Nice to have

· Experience operating AI in regulated or high-trust environments (healthcare, finance, etc.).

· Voice / real-time AI experience.

· Experience with NVIDIA cuOpt and NVIDIA Riva.
