Key Responsibilities

As a member of the R&D; team, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and error correction solutions for next-generation high-speed communication systems. Working closely with Analog/Mixed-Signal and Digital IC design teams, you will participate in system architecture definition, algorithm development, modeling, implementation, and validation activities.

Key responsibilities include

System & Channel Modeling

- Develop and maintain models of communication channels and system components.
- Analyze the impact of signal impairments, noise, distortion, and timing effects on overall system performance.
- Support link-level and system-level performance evaluation and optimization.

Algorithm Development
- Design, simulate, and validate efficient DSP and coding algorithms using floating-point and fixed-point methodologies.
- Develop solutions for equalization, synchronization, timing recovery, calibration, signal quality monitoring, and error correction.
- Evaluate algorithm complexity, performance, and implementation trade-offs for hardware realization.

Hardware Validation & Optimization
- Validate algorithms on silicon and laboratory platforms.
- Correlate measured results with simulation models and identify areas for improvement.




- Refine system models and verification environments based on experimental data.

Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience in communications, signal processing, or related disciplines.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in Digital Signal Processing, Communication Theory, and Error Correction Coding.
- Experience modeling communication systems and analyzing system-level performance.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar development environments.
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and version control systems.
- Experience collaborating with IC design, verification, or systems teams.
- Knowledge of high-speed wired, optical, or other advanced communication technologies.
- Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
