We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager – Causal Biology to join our Life Sciences R&D; team and support the digital transformation. This role combines senior product management expertise with strong scientific understanding in areas such as computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, omics, or biological data .
You’ll own a strategic product or related set of scientific capabilities, working closely with researchers, computational scientists, engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to drive product discovery, delivery, and measurable R&D; value.
What you'll do
- Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and lifecycle management for causal biology products and scientific data capabilities.
- Drive continuous discovery through user interviews, workflow analysis, experimentation, and feedback from scientific and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex scientific and technical needs into clear product requirements, Product Development Plans, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Own and maintain the product backlog using Jira, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery , making scope and priority trade-offs in partnership with engineering and Project Management.
- Lead products through requirements validation, architecture and design reviews, UAT, release readiness, and launch.
- Act as the primary product contact for researchers, computational scientists, bioinformaticians, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with software engineering, data engineering, bioinformatics, and architecture teams on APIs, data flows, scientific platforms, cloud services, and integration patterns.
- Use AI tools such as Gemini Pro and Atlassian AI to improve prioritization, product insights, requirements management, and documentation.
- Track product performance through adoption, user satisfaction, business and scientific value, delivery effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
What we're looking for
Required
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with technical, platform, data, or scientific products.
- Strong experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and product priorities in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, user discovery, communication, and requirements documentation skills.
- Advanced experience with Jira and Confluence .
- Strong technical product background, with experience working closely with software engineering, data engineering, architecture, or data science teams.
- Good understanding of APIs, data pipelines, cloud platforms, SQL/NoSQL, and modern data architectures .
- Scientific knowledge or professional experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, omics, biological data, or a closely related life sciences domain .
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated environments , with an understanding of scientific R&D; workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
- Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) or HPC-to-cloud migrations.
- Knowledge of MLOps, AI/ML platforms, or GenAI applications for scientific workflows.
- Experience with scientific data platforms, large scientific datasets, or data provenance and reproducibility.
- Experience with product modernization, application rationalization, technical debt reduction, or cost optimization.
- Familiarity with life sciences platforms such as Benchling or Schrödinger .
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as Google Professional Cloud Architect .
