Salesforce Marketing Cloud Functional Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Functional Consultant to join an international project, working remotely from Spain or Portugal.

This role is aimed at a functional professional with solid experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud , who can understand business needs, lead conversations with stakeholders, and translate those requirements into clear functional solutions for technical teams.

We are not looking for a purely technical profile or someone who simply matches a long list of technologies. The key requirements are a strong foundation in Marketing Cloud, proven functional experience, and the autonomy to work directly with clients.

Responsibilities

- Lead discovery sessions and requirements-gathering workshops with Marketing, CRM, and business teams.
- Translate business objectives into functional requirements, use cases, and user stories.
- Design customer journeys, campaigns, segmentation strategies, and communication flows from a functional perspective.
- Work with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder .
- Define data models and subscriber structures from a functional perspective.
- Act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams across development, administration, and data.
- Contribute to solution decisions, prioritisation,



and scope definition.
- Support testing, UAT, demos, and solution adoption.

Requirements

- Solid functional experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud .
- Good knowledge of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder .
- Experience leading workshops, discovery sessions, or client requirements-gathering activities.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and solution designs.
- Knowledge of data models, Data Extensions, subscribers, and segmentation.
- Good understanding of marketing automation, customer journeys, and personalisation.
- Professional English level, with the ability to work directly with international clients and teams.

Nice to have

- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect.
- Knowledge of Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
- Experience with Data Cloud / Data 360 or Marketing Cloud Personalization.
- Previous experience in consulting environments or international projects.
- Knowledge of GDPR, consent management, deliverability, and preference management.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
