For one of our multinational management consulting clients, we are looking for a:

Senior Internal Audit Freelance for a project with an important international client operating in the Money Transfer sector, based in Madrid.

The selected candidate will be involved in an Internal Audit / Compliance project.

Main responsibilities

- Analysis and assessment of business processes and the internal control system;
- Execution of Internal Audit and Compliance activities according to defined audit methodologies and plans;
- Analysis of key operational, compliance and governance risks;
- Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and identification of potential gaps;
- Analysis of governance, reporting processes and control frameworks;
- Review of processes related to safeguarding of funds, operational resilience and customer protection;
- Assessment of the oversight of outsourced activities and the agent network;
- Preparation of audit documentation and reports, including findings and recommendations;
- Interaction with client stakeholders and support in defining remediation plans.





Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in Internal Audit and/or Compliance;
- Experience gained within regulated financial institutions , preferably in environments subject to regulatory requirements relating to governance, internal controls, reporting, customer protection and risk management;
- Excellent written and spoken English ;
- Good knowledge of Spanish , both written and spoken;
- Ability to work independently and interact effectively with different stakeholders;
- Experience in preparing audit documentation and reporting.

Assignment details:
- Contract: Freelance
- Duration: End of October – end of December
- Commitment: Approximately 20 working days
- Location: Madrid
- Working model: A significant part of the assignment is expected to be carried out on-site at the client’s premises .
