Senior AI Engineering Tech Lead

We're partnering with a integral organisation undergoing significant AI-driven transformation and are looking for an experienced Senior Tech Lead to shape the future of enterprise AI products and platforms.

This is a strategic leadership role where you'll be responsible for defining AI architecture, driving technical direction, and influencing the adoption of scalable AI solutions across a complex international environment. You'll work closely with senior engineering, data science and business stakeholders to deliver reusable AI products that create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical strategy and architecture for AI and machine learning solutions.
- Drive the design and delivery of scalable, reusable AI products and platforms.
- Assess emerging AI technologies, models and tooling, making recommendations based on value, cost and risk.
- Establish technical governance, architectural standards and engineering best practices.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into AI-enabled solutions.
- Support AI platform development, MLOps capabilities and routes-to-production for machine learning products.




- Build alignment across engineering teams and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and influence technical leaders across the organisation.

Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in software engineering, architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Strong experience delivering AI, machine learning or data-driven products within complex enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms and engineering best practices.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, MLOps, CI/CD and production deployment strategies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive engagement.
- Proven ability to balance commercial objectives, technical quality, risk and speed of delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding distributed and cross-functional teams.
