Role Description

We are looking for an agency, freelancer or independent expert in sustainable tourism or ecotourism to support a project connecting Mediterranean ecotourism businesses with new commercial partners. This is a limited-scope collaboration rather than a formal position, with clear potential to be repeated in future phases.

Scope of Support

- Market analysis consultancy: advise on the buyer landscape for sustainable tourism (tour operators, DMCs, corporate and educational groups, among others) and on what each type of buyer expects from ecotourism suppliers.
- Outreach support: review our prospecting approach and materials and, where possible, open doors to potential buyers in your network.

Collaboration Model

We envisage a mixed model: a fixed consultancy component,



combined with a success-based component linked to the signature of pre-commercial agreements with buyers. Details will be agreed with the selected candidate.

Profile

- Proven experience in sustainable tourism or ecotourism, ideally in the Mediterranean, North Africa or the Middle East
- Good understanding of how tourism is bought and sold B2B: tour operators, DMCs, net rates, contracting
- Familiarity with sustainability and impact frameworks in tourism
- An active network among responsible tour operators or other buyers is a strong plus
- Fluent English; French and/or Arabic are an advantage

Practical Details

- Format: mostly remote, with sessions and written input; adaptable
- Timeline: October – December 2026
- Budget: modest. We welcome proposals and are open to discussing complementary forms of collaboration and visibility.
