About The Role
As part of our Cybersecurity Team, you will combat cybercrime and protect the corporate values and reputation of national and international clients from cyberattacks, supporting their security with optimal long-term solutions and strategies.
As a relatively new team within FTI Consulting, our spirit is fundamentally entrepreneurial—we thrive on initiative and encourage team members at all levels to take charge of and drive aspects of our development. This is a full-time, 6-month internship in our office in Madrid, starting between January and March 2027.
What You’ll Do
Your main responsibilities include:
- Supporting the response to cyber incidents and forensic investigations, assisting the wider team with the foundational elements of:
- Cyber incident management
- Evidence Identification & Seizure
- Data Preservation, Imaging & Analysis
- Chain of Custody Maintenance
- Malware & Artifact Analysis
- Assisting with regulatory compliance projects, including assessing the level of compliance of organisations with cyber regulations, as well as cyber transformation and maturity projects.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments in cybersecurity and analysing new and existing regulations to understand their requirements on Spanish organizations
- Contributing to written reports and updates for law firms, financial institutions, and multinational corporations regarding cyber threats and trends, and the creation of proposals and pitches for clients.
- Supporting the delivery of marketing activities run by the team.
Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of industry-critical trends, threats, methods, and technologies.

How You’ll Grow

self-directed professional development courses, and certifications. You will receive your own coach who will support you as a mentor and guide you through regular coaching sessions. This coach will act as a promoter of your professional development.
This internship will provide you with an insight into the world of forensics.
What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- For this internship, your graduation date must be after January 2024
- Able to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
- Available to begin a 6-month internship between January and March 2027.
- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree, ideally with relevant coursework, certification, or training in Cybersecurity, and ideally including modules covering digital forensics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent academic background
- A passion for forensic investigations or cyber incident response, accompanied by experience studying in this area
- Fluency in Spanish and strong English language skills
- A strong work ethic and a passion for excellence
- Results-driven, perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Team player with the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities
