Your role

As a BI Engineer, you will help build scalable and reliable analytics solutions that enable teams across Symrise to make better, data-driven decisions. You will design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and analytical data models, working closely with business stakeholders to turn their needs into practical and actionable solutions.

You will also play an important role in ensuring data quality, governance, and user adoption, while continuously improving our Data Analytics & AI solution portfolio. The role offers the opportunity to work across global functions and collaborate with Data Engineering, Platform, Governance, and business teams as Symrise continues its data-driven transformation.

About you

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical BI skills with a good understanding of business needs. You will ideally bring:

- Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard and report development, data visualization, and semantic models.





- Solid SQL skills and experience working with analytical data models and relational databases.

- Good knowledge of dimensional data modelling and analytics engineering principles.

- Experience translating business requirements into scalable, user-friendly BI and analytics solutions.

- A strong focus on data quality, testing, governance, and delivering trusted data to business users.

- The ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate complex data topics clearly.

- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work across teams such as Data Engineering, Data Platform, Governance, and business functions.

- A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in increasing user adoption and making analytics solutions more effective.

- Experience working in an international or global environment is a plus.

- Good communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and locations.
