As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to diverse projects across Spain and beyond, collaborating with national and international teams.
We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who is passionate about challenging design problems and has a strong interest in innovation, optimisation and high‑quality delivery.
As a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup, you will:
Lead and deliver structural design packages for complex infrastructure projects taking technical ownership of allocated elements.
Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, high‑quality engineering solutions.
Perform advanced structural and numerical analyses, producing calculations, drawings, specifications, and clear technical reports.
Manage allocated work packages across multiple projects and proposals, ensuring technical quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
Support, mentor, and technically guide junior colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Contribute to technical excellence, digital innovation, and knowledge sharing within Arup’s global structural and bridges and civil structures community.
A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or an equivalent discipline.




~8-10 years’ experience in structural design on medium to large-scale infrastructure projects in Spain or across Europe , including underground structures.
~ Strong experience in structural and numerical analysis using industry‑standard software.
~ Solid engineering judgement with excellent planning, organisational, and time‑management skills.
~ Strong interest in digital engineering and BIM, including the ability to coordinate BIM and digital workflows for modelling and drawing delivery.
~ Advanced Spanish and English language is a must, other capabilities such as German, Italian are more than welcome.
