Senior Software Engineer - Observability, Managed Inputs

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Observability organization, specifically the Managed Inputs team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing backend ingestion pipelines that collect and process telemetry from diverse sources such as Elastic Agents, OpenTelemetry collectors, and cloud environments. Responsibilities include leading projects from concept to delivery, providing engineering support, mentoring peers, ensuring system stability through monitoring and SLIs/SLOs, and maintaining a collaborative team culture across general time zones. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to expert Go skills, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Kafka, along with a strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems. Additional qualifications include experience with observability practices, OpenTelemetry, and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement. Compensation ranges from €67,000 to €106,000 EUR.
