Morgan Philips is currently recruiting a Sr. Financial Business Controller in Spain for a leading company in the real estate sector.

Role Purpose: The Finance Controller will be responsible for building, structuring, and managing the financial reporting framework of an international business perimeter, ensuring full alignment with Group standards (IFRS) and supporting the implementation of new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Closing: Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)Ensure timely and accurate month-end closingPerform variance analysis vs budget, forecast, and prior periodsDeliver structured management reporting to Group FinanceIFRS & Accounting Alignment: Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS standards and Group accounting policiesManage the bridge between Local GAAP and IFRS reportingSupport implementation of key standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 9)Liaise with auditorsPlanning, Forecasting & Performance: Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes (Budget, 3+9, reforecasts)Monitor key KPIs (Revenue, Contribution Margin,



Gross Margin, EBITDA, Net Debt)Support performance analysisPersonnel Cost Controlling: Monitor personnel costs and ensure consistency between HR and finance dataSupport headcount planning and budgetingReconcile HR data with accounting dataImprove visibility of personnel cost evolutionSystems & Process Improvement: Support ERP and reporting tools implementationImprove data quality and automationStandardize financial processesCoordination: Work with Local CFO, Accounting, HR, and Group FinanceEnsure alignment with Group deadlinesAct as a key reference point for financial reporting within the assigned business perimeterProfile & Requirements: Education:- Degree in Finance or AccountingExperience:5+ years in audit or controlling rolesStrong IFRS experienceSkills: IFRS / IAS knowledgeFinancial reporting and consolidationPersonnel cost controlling is a plusAdvanced Excel, BI tools and ERP knowledgeAnalytical mindsetLanguages:- Spanish and English required
