Role summaryIn vivo Laboratory Technician
Xenopat is looking for an In vivo Laboratory Technician to join our preclinical oncology team in Barcelona. The successful candidate will support the execution of in vivo and in vitro studies, contributing to the evaluation of new oncology therapies using advanced preclinical cancer models.

Responsibilities
- Perform and support preclinical in vivo studies, including drug administration, tumour measurements, animal weighing, cell-line injections, necropsies and tissue collection.
- Perform in vitro cell culture procedures and prepare cell culture media and solutions.
- Prepare, calculate and formulate compounds and drug formulations for in vivo dosing.
- Process, label, collect and prepare biological samples for analysis or shipment.
- Prepare, clean, sterilise and maintain laboratory and surgical equipment and materials.
- Manage laboratory materials and reagent inventories, including stock control and ordering.
- Follow established protocols and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ensuring accurate data collection, recording and reporting.
- Maintain laboratory areas clean, organised and in good working condition.
- Identify and promptly report any issues or deviations arising during studies.
- Contribute to other laboratory activities as required and support the team in the successful execution of preclinical studies.
Qualifications
- Higher Technician qualification (CFGS) in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Mandatory accreditation for working with laboratory animals; FELASA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous experience with cancer models, drug administration and/or animal procedures will be highly valued.
- Experience in cell culture, Western blot or other molecular biology techniques is an advantage.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow protocols accurately and consistently.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
- Proactive, motivated and eager to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Catalan and Spanish. English is an advantage.
- Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in preclinical research.
