Financial Services Technician

We are looking for a Financial Services Technician who would like to join a key team in Spain, dedicated to ensuring the excellence of our financial processes and actively contributing to their ongoing development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage critical financial processes, collaborate with local and international teams, and participate in optimization and transformation initiatives that deliver a tangible impact across the organization.

You will play a key role in ensuring that our payment, vendor management, and corporate payment instrument processes operate efficiently and reliably, in line with the highest quality and compliance standards. You will also work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, interacting extensively with different business areas and the company’s global teams.

Tasks and responsibilities

- Ensure the effective management of accounts payable processes, making certain that payment obligations to vendors are fulfilled accurately and on time, in accordance with the company’s established policies and procedures
- Manage the creation and maintenance of vendor records in corporate systems, safeguarding data quality and facilitating their integration into financial processes
- Administer and provide support for corporate payment instruments, including the management of credit cards and fuel cards, ensuring that employees have the tools required to perform their duties efficiently
- Understand and apply both local and corporate internal policies and procedures, as well as the applicable legal framework governing the company’s financial operations
- Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned processes, monitor them regularly, and propose improvement actions when required. This includes monitoring operations and initiatives related to the processes under their responsibility
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the company’s different areas and business units, including Finance, Sales Networks, Human Resources,



GFE, Sourcing, and other relevant functions, providing support and facilitating the financial processes, tools, and instruments required for their activities. Adapt communication to each stakeholder, combining clarity, rigor, and a service-oriented approach
- Coordinate with global teams and centers of excellence, including Global Business Services, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and Master Data, ensuring the proper implementation and alignment of corporate processes, policies, and procedures
- Manage, monitor, and coordinate the resolution of incidents related to payment processes and payment instruments, keeping the relevant stakeholders informed of the status and progress of each matter through to closure

Requirements

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP and Concur)
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish
- Advanced and fluent English, both written and spoken
- At least five years of experience in financial management, accounts payable, and/or travel and expense functions, with solid knowledge of accounting processes, accounts payable, and the related legal and tax requirements
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a methodical approach to managing priorities and deadlines effectively
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work with complex data and processes. Skilled in identifying issues, assessing risks, proposing solutions that improve financial processes, and following up on both identified problems and the implementation of solutions

- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset, fostering teamwork and demonstrating a strong internal customer focus
- Ability to define, implement, and monitor key process indicators




- Demonstrated experience in process optimization and transformation initiatives
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage
