Description: The Energy Systems Analytics research department is looking for an energy research eager candidate to join the group. The candidate will be asked to perform the following tasks: * To support the set up and initial development of AI driven data structure for energy modelling focused on energy communities

- To set up the process for the collection of technical, economic, social, environmental, and regulatory data from public statistics, open datasets, and literature related to energy communities' energy consumption and demand.
- To define and establish governance rules for versioning, metadata, and access to ensure traceability.
- To design and refine optimization models for aggregated distributed-energy resources.
- To give support to the dissemination activities related to the projects where he/she will be involved (scientific papers writing, conference participation,..)

Requirements

Research Field Engineering Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

Essential:

- Hold a Master's degree in Data Science or equivalent. Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

- Proven experience (

2 years) in optimisation in modelling in multi-energy carriers applied to buildings and other assets (EV, renewable energy, storage,..) * Excellent knowledge of Python, ML, SQL
- Spoken and writing capabilities in Spanish, Catalan and English Preferred:
- Participation as author or co-author in scientific papers related to the topic
- Conferences participation in related topics
- Previous experience in participating in similar projects (National or European) related to energy modelling

Personal skills:

- Capabilities of autonomous work and research sensitivity

- Interest in joining a multidisciplinary team
- Good communication skills

Languages ENGLISH Level Excellent
