Context And Mission
BSC is the coordinator of the Spanish Center of National Competences in High-Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (www.eurocc-spain.res.es), as part of the EuroCC network (GA: 101306701), funded by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. The objective of this Competence Centre is to consolidate the knowledge, skills and services offered by the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES), a Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) distributed throughout Spain, composed of 20+ supercomputers interconnected with high-speed networks, with a particular focus on facilitating and attracting industrial use of HPC.
BSC is also the host of the HPC node of DIH4CAT, the catalan innovation hub to promote digitalisation and transformation of SMEs based on test-before-invest programmes.
We are looking for a person to manage the international connections tasks of these two projects. In detail, the selected candidate will be in charge of the EuroCC_Spain and DIH4CAT connection with existing European initiatives, notably the EuroHPC AI Factories, identify new ones, and act as service broker for both projects,
within the BSC Infrastructures Access Group of the Operations Department.
Key Duties
- Management of the existing portfolio of connections for EuroCC_Spain and DIH4CAT and their relation with the BSC AI Factory
- Contribute to coordination activities and events with EDIHs, EuroCC network nodes and other related initiativesSupercomputing Network (RES)
- Support to stakeholder management (including TEFs and AI sandboxes), user interaction (SMEs, startups, public administration and academia) and service catalogue brokerage
- Travel availability in Europe to attend relevant events
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor or Master degree (fields like Business, Science, Engineering, Technology)
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- One year experience in european projects management
- One year experience in organization and management of scientific events
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Knowledge of the Catalan and Spanish innovation ecosystem
- Experience in the field of digital transformation of companies (mainly SMEs) will be highly valued
- Good English level
- High Spanish level
- Competences
- Proactive attitude and good communication skills
- Capacity to organize their own agenda and work plans
- Ability to work independently or in teams when required
Conditions
- The position will be located at BSC within the Operations Department
- We offer a full-time contract (35h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, adaptable working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona
- Starting date: October 2026

Development of the recruitment process
The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
- Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
- Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
