A leading international company, recognized for delivering complex and high-value construction and infrastructure projects, is seeking to appoint a Senior Health & Safety (H&S;) Manager, based in Madrid, to lead the Health & Safety strategy for New Technology projects (specifically for Data Centers) and international projects.

Position Summary

The Senior Health & Safety Manager – New Technologies will provide visible leadership in Health & Safety across these projects, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a trusted advisor on all Health & Safety matters, applying professional standards and promoting industry best practices in the industry.
- Maintain key areas of technical expertise and share knowledge to support the development, training, and mentoring of other professionals.
- Provide Health & Safety guidance to senior management and project leaders to support the achievement of project objectives.
- Build, develop, and maintain internal and external relationships that maximize the impact of specialist knowledge, enhance decision-making quality, encourage shared learning, and drive improvements throughout the project supply chain.
- Advise on and interpret contractual and legal requirements applicable to the project,



ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting the project’s interests.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers to support the successful delivery of project objectives.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards and the ability to assess compliance.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety risk management practices.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and prepare related reports.
- Ability to monitor, measure, and report Health & Safety performance.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction methodologies and their Health & Safety implications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Health & Safety within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices.
- Understanding of Behavioural Safety principles and techniques.

Education, Certifications & Experience

- Relevant experience in similar Health & Safety (H&S;/EHS) leadership positions.
- Experience on major construction projects, with preference for experience in Data Centers, similar mission-critical facilities, and international project environments.
- Previous experience in comparable roles and industries.
- NEBOSH Certification.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required.
