About Bold FactoryFactories are complex. The software they use doesn't have to be.At Bold Factory, we're building modern Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) software to help small and medium sized factories move beyond paper and Excel. Our product connects production planning, materials, inventory and shop floor operations. We're based at Lanzadera in Valencia, and the software we build is already used by real companies to run their day to day operations.The roleWe're looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help us make that happen. You'll be our first dedicated Product Designer, with the opportunity to shape how design works at Bold and own a big part of how Bold looks, feels and works. We're early enough for you to have a huge impact, but not so early that you'll be designing hypothetical screens for a product nobody uses yet. Bold is already being used by real companies, every day, to run real operations.The challengeFactories are complex environments. Manufacturing software has traditionally been powerful but painful to use. We think it can be different. Orders, materials, machines, people, deadlines and production plans all interact with each other, and our users need to understand what's happening quickly. Your job will be to turn that complexity into software that feels clear, fast and intuitive without losing the power our users need. Sometimes that means designing an entirely new workflow. Sometimes it's looking at an existing one and asking why something takes four steps when it could take two. Sometimes it's deciding what information should be visible, what should be hidden, where an action belongs or whether the right interaction is a button, a menu, a modal, drag and drop or something completely different. And sometimes it simply means taking something that works and making it look much, much better. We care about both.Design how Bold worksYou'll design end to end product experiences in Figma, from early concepts and wireframes to polished, production ready interfaces. You'll turn complex workflows — production planning, orders, materials, large datasets and shop floor operations — into clear paths that make powerful functionality feel obvious.Make Bold look and feel greatYou'll own the quality and consistency of the interface — typography, spacing, hierarchy, layouts, states, interactions and the small details that make a product feel polished. For us, UI isn't a decorative layer added after UX; it's part of the experience.Shape our design systemYou'll evolve our existing visual language into a coherent, scalable system of components, patterns and principles that helps us build faster and more consistently. You'll help decide what that system should become,



not just maintain it.Simplify complex workflowsYou'll work with product and engineering to challenge how things are structured: does this action belong here, do users need all this information at once, can we remove a step, combine two screens or choose a clearer interaction? We want you to have opinions about these things and be comfortable defending them.Learn from how users actually behaveDesign doesn't stop at production. You'll use Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar, product usage and customer feedback to spot friction, understand real behaviour and propose improvements based on evidence.Talk to customersYou'll talk directly to users to understand how they perform a task, uncover why a workflow is confusing or validate an idea before we build it. You don't need to be a full time UX Researcher, but you should be comfortable with customers and curious about whether your designs actually work.Work closely with engineeringYou'll collaborate directly with engineering from the first idea through implementation and final review, discussing constraints, iterating together and making sure what reaches production matches the quality of the design.Occasionally help us outside the productMost of your time will be spent designing Bold itself. As a small startup, we'll occasionally value your eye on our marketing website, a landing page or a product visual — without turning this into a marketing or graphic design role.How we workYou'll report directly to Pablo, our CTO and co founder, who currently leads product, and work very closely with engineering. This is a Product Design role, not a Product Management role. You won't be expected to define our roadmap or decide which business capabilities we should build next. But once we've identified a problem worth solving, you'll have significant ownership over how we solve it for the user. We expect you to challenge us. If a workflow doesn't make sense, say it. If we're adding unnecessary complexity, simplify it. If there's a better interaction than the one we've imagined, propose it. We don't want someone who simply turns requirements into Figma screens. We want a designer with judgement.What we're looking forWe care much more about the quality of your work and how you think than about a specific number of years of experience. You'll probably be a good fit if:- You have experience designing digital products from concept to final UI.- You have strong visual design skills and care about typography, spacing,



hierarchy, consistency and detail.- You're comfortable thinking deeply about UX and interaction design : workflows, navigation, information architecture and reducing friction.- You know Figma very well.- You've worked with design systems, ideally helping evolve or create one.- You can explain the reasoning behind your decisions rather than just presenting the final screen.- You're comfortable working closely with developers and discussing technical constraints.- English: a genuine B2 minimum; C1 or higher preferred.- You’ll use English to read documentation, discuss design decisions and communicate with international users.- You enjoy autonomy and don't need every process to already exist before you can start working.Even better if…- You've worked on B2B SaaS, enterprise software or data heavy products.- You've designed tables, dashboards, planning tools or other complex interfaces.- You've used Clarity, Hotjar or similar tools to analyse user behaviour.- You've interviewed users or run usability tests.- You understand the basics of how modern frontend applications are built.- You also have a good eye for web and brand design.- Experience in manufacturing is not required.What's in it for youA rare moment to join. Direct access to the people building the product.
