In this role you will act as the top technical authority for threat detection within Allianz’s global cyber defense. You shape the strategic detection landscape, set engineering standards, and convert threat intelligence into scalable detection coverage. You collaborate across Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Security Operations, and Engineering to improve detection across endpoints, identity, cloud, network, and applications. You drive measurable improvements in detection effectiveness, performance, and operational sustainability, contributing to Allianz’s wider security posture and risk management.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Define and maintain the strategic detection landscape aligned with evolving threats and business risks
• Serve as the senior technical authority for detection engineering, establishing standards and best practices
• Lead design and optimization of SIEM detection use cases balancing effectiveness and operational sustainability
• Own detection coverage assessments and gap analyses leveraging MITRE ATTu0026CK and intel insights
• Oversee the security telemetry landscape, identify data gaps, and drive onboarding of new data sources
• Translate threat intelligence and threat hunting findings into production-grade detections




• Design and implement multi-domain detection strategies across endpoint, identity, cloud, network, and application security environments

Responsabilidades
• Extensive experience in Detection Engineering, Cyber Defense, Security Monitoring, or Threat Detection in complex enterprises
• Deep expertise in SIEM technologies including log management, event correlation, detection logic, and data analysis
• Strong understanding of adversary TTPs with hands-on knowledge of MITRE ATTu0026CK
• Proven track record of developing, tuning, and maintaining detection content with minimized false positives
• Experience translating threat intelligence and threat hunting outcomes into scalable detections
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to influence technical and senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with modern detection engineering practices such as Detection-as-Code, behavioral analytics, automation, and AI-assisted security operations
