Experteer Overview
As Lead Software Engineer in the Dow Jones Platform Team, you define architecture and drive platform delivery for web, mobile, and AI-enabled experiences across B2C and B2B brands. You collaborate with product managers and designers to shape scalable, reliable, high-performance products, guiding cross-team efforts and production deployments. You contribute to reducing technical debt and improving release processes, helping Dow Jones deliver engaging, data-driven experiences at scale.

• Partner with product to manage scope and deliverables for the technical roadmap
• Collaborate with engineers across Dow Jones and News Corp to reuse shared tech

• Design and implement development standards for tools, monitoring, change control and deployment
• Set application development standards for components and services, including language/tool recommendations




• Identify strategic technical debt and provide cost/benefit analysis and prioritization timelines

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years in software engineering
• 2-4 years in a lead engineering role
• Knowledge of commercial B2C/B2B digital models
• Experience with online subscription products, advertising and privacy technologies, high-traffic websites
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and web best practices
• Advanced CSS knowledge (Grid, Flexbox, etc.)
• Experience with AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI) for productivity
• Familiarity with agentic software solutions
• Experience collaborating on large-scale projects with engineers
• Fundamentals in web development, SOA, cloud, TDD, and DDD
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
