Who are you:

The Academic Advisor/Student Support Coordinator is the students’ first point of contact, and they are responsible for ensuring that the study center's programs run in accordance with their set goals, as well as for the highest levels of program quality and customer satisfaction. In this position you will help students to reach their academic goals and help them in their adaptation to the local environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Academic Support: advise students, ensure their registration and monitor academic performance of students.

Student Support: provide orientation to participants upon arrival, hold regular individual and group meetings with students, provide personal counseling in cases of student morale and culture shock, medium medical and psychological problems, or legal matters; mediate in cases of conflict resolution.

Student Discipline: communicate to participants applicable codes of conduct and the consequences of noncompliance, take appropriate action when aware that participants are in violation.

Communication: maintain open and timely communication about student incidents with those who need to know.

Program planning: participate in the planification and/or management of future terms/programs.

Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

- 2-3 years of professional experience.
- Education : Master degree or higher preferred
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in Spanish and English (both C1 or higher).
- Desirable previous experience in Salesforce.




- Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints. Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Demonstrated integrity, self-motivation, and a proactive, “can-do” attitude, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility: Availability to travel on student day trips on some weekends and during some evenings.

- The successful candidate is offered a full-time, thirty-eight (38) hour/week local work contract, paid monthly. Working hours will typically be Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, However, CIEE currently offers an additional work benefit on Fridays for this position to work from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- This schedule is based on a flex-time concept to compensate for busy “peak periods” during some times of the year. There may be occasional evening or Saturday or overnight excursions which are compensated for with recovery time. There will be some periods with option to work remotely once a week.
- 27+ vacations days.
- This contract is offered as seasonal, from November 2026 until late April 2027.
- Start date: November 2026.
