In this role you shape how AI reasons over TomTom’s location data, building ML and multimodal models that operate on maps, traffic, and points of interest. You’ll design LLM interfaces, data representations, and evaluation metrics to ensure accurate, scalable, and production-ready solutions. You collaborate with AI and software engineers to move ideas from prototype to deployment, contributing to state-of-the-art research and a data-driven culture.

Compensaciones / Ventajas

- Design LLM data interfaces and retrieval strategies for structured and geospatial data
- Develop data representations such as embeddings and knowledge graphs for location data
- Define evaluation benchmarks, metrics, and datasets for location-grounded tasks
- Research and develop ML and deep learning models (LLMs, CV, time-series, graphs)
- Frame problems with product managers and translate into scientific goals and success metrics
- Write production-quality code and work with engineers to deploy solutions




- Keep up with state-of-the-art research and adapt techniques to TomTom's problems
- Share findings and contribute to a strong scientific culture

Responsabilidades

- Strong foundations in machine learning, deep learning, statistics and optimization
- Experience with PyTorch or JAX and Python scientific stack (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn)
- Experience with LLMs/generative AI, CV, time-series forecasting, graph neural networks, or reinforcement learning
- Ability to design experiments, define xugodme metrics, and draw conclusions from data
- Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed computing (e.g., Spark, Databricks, cloud ML platforms on Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and collaborate with engineers for production deployment
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences
- Publications at top-tier venues are a plus
- Experience with geospatial, mapping, mobility or sensor data is a plus
