In this role you will lead the engineering of AI platforms and products at enterprise scale, partnering with researchers and platform teams to deliver reproducible, secure and high-performance AI systems. You will drive the translation of research prototypes into production-ready solutions that work across cloud and on-premises environments. You will shape standards, automation and reusable capabilities to uplift the organization and accelerate science.

This onsite position in Barcelona offers a chance to impact drug discovery through scalable AI, governance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

- Provide technical leadership for AI platform and product engineering, focusing on design, reproducibility, performance and maintainability
- Turn research prototypes into secure, scalable products and reusable platform capabilities for Discovery
- Develop and optimize ML training and inference workflows across cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Promote software engineering standards, documentation,



testing, code review and reusable delivery patterns
- Apply CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps and MLOps to improve delivery speed, reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with AI researchers, scientists, platform teams and external partners to translate scientific needs into technical solutions
- Mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions, and advocate for responsible, compliant and reproducible AI engineering

Responsabilidades

- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field
- Proven track record implementing software engineering xugodme best practices across multiple use cases
- Advanced proficiency in Python and scientific libraries (PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas)
- Experience optimizing distributed training of ML models
- Experience deploying AI/ML systems in production
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD and MLOps practices
- Experience deploying cloud-native applications with AWS, GCP or Azure
- Excellent problem solving and technical communication
- Strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
