Role Description The Crew Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Las Palmas, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for coordinating vessel crew scheduling, assignments, and rotations, ensuring that staffing aligns with operational needs and regulatory requirements.

The Crew

Specialist maintains accurate crew records, manages documentation and certifications, and supports onboarding and orientation of new crew members. Day-to-day activities include communicating with vessels and shore teams, resolving crew-related issues, assisting with travel and logistics, and collaborating with operations and HR to support safe, efficient, and compliant fishing operations.

Qualifications

- Experience in crew coordination, workforce planning, or maritime staffing,



with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of maritime operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; prior experience in shipping, fishing, or offshore industries is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and with crew members at sea and on shore.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and HR systems, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools; comfort with remote collaboration.
- Ability to analyze staffing needs, handle documentation with attention to detail, and manage confidential information responsibly.
- Fluency in French, English and Spanish; additional language skills relevant to the crew or operating regions are beneficial.
- Relevant diploma or degree in maritime studies, human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Capacity to work in our Las Palmas office, adapt to changing operational demands, and support a safety- and sustainability-focused culture.
