The DC CSA Project Manager is responsible for managing the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) workstream throughout the delivery of IREN’s next-generation, renewable-powered data center projects. Reporting to the DC Project Manager, the role provides project management leadership for the CSA scope, ensuring that design, procurement, construction, completion, and handover activities are effectively planned, coordinated, controlled, and delivered in alignment with the overall project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and operational readiness.

The role acts as the primary project management focal point for CSA scope, coordinating internal teams, designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project disciplines to ensure that earthworks, site infrastructure, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, architectural works, roads, drainage, external works, and associated CSA packages are delivered in accordance with project requirements.

This role contributes to the successful delivery of IREN’s Spain data center projects by supporting the DC Project Manager in controlling CSA scope, schedule, cost, risks, changes, interfaces, contractor performance, and key project dependencies, while ensuring that CSA delivery enables the timely installation, commissioning, and operation of mission-critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the DC Project Manager, the DC CSA Project Manager is responsible for:

- Manage the CSA project workstream by coordinating the planning and delivery of earthworks, site development, foundations, concrete and steel structures, building envelope, roofing, architectural works, roads, drainage, underground utilities, external works, and associated CSA packages in alignment with the overall data center project execution plan.
- Support the DC Project Manager in delivering overall project objectives by maintaining clear visibility of CSA progress, priorities, risks, constraints, decisions, and dependencies and ensuring that CSA activities remain aligned with project milestones, budget, quality requirements, and operational objectives.
- Coordinate CSA design, procurement, and construction activities by working with designers, consultants, contractors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure design maturity, constructability, procurement readiness, timely technical decisions, and effective transition from design through construction and completion.
- Manage CSA contractors and consultants from a project management perspective by monitoring contractual deliverables, progress, schedule, cost, quality, risks, changes, and overall performance and by coordinating corrective or recovery actions where required.
- Coordinate closely with the CSA Superintendent and site construction team to ensure alignment between project objectives and field execution, supporting the resolution of construction constraints, technical issues, sequencing conflicts, contractor performance matters, and decisions requiring project-level intervention.
- Manage CSA interfaces with electrical, mechanical, utilities, architectural, logistics, security, fire protection, controls, commissioning, and operations teams by identifying dependencies and interface risks and ensuring that CSA delivery supports subsequent equipment installation, energization, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Manage CSA schedule performance by reviewing contractor schedules, milestones, lookahead plans, dependencies, critical-path activities,



and recovery plans and by providing accurate schedule inputs and forecasts to the DC Project Manager and Project Controls team.
- Support CSA cost and commercial management in coordination with the DC Project Manager, Commercial, Procurement, and Project Controls teams by monitoring commitments, forecasts, variations, contractor claims, scope changes, and cost-to-complete for CSA packages.
- Manage CSA scope and change control by identifying potential scope changes and deviations, evaluating their technical, schedule, cost, quality, and operational impacts, coordinating stakeholder reviews, and providing clear recommendations to the DC Project Manager for decision and approval.
- Maintain and manage CSA risks and opportunities by identifying technical, commercial, schedule, contractor, permitting, constructability, logistics, and interface risks, establishing mitigation actions and owners, and escalating material risks to the DC Project Manager.
- Support procurement and contracting activities for CSA packages by contributing to scope definition, tender documentation, technical evaluations, bid reviews, contractor selection, package strategy, and monitoring of critical procurement activities and material deliveries.
- Monitor CSA quality performance by coordinating with Construction and Quality teams, reviewing quality plans and key inspection requirements, monitoring NCRs and corrective actions, and ensuring that significant quality issues are resolved without compromising project milestones or operational requirements.
- Support HSE performance across CSA packages by ensuring that project planning, contractor management, sequencing, logistics, and key project decisions appropriately incorporate health, safety, and environmental requirements in coordination with Construction and HSE teams.
- Drive cross-functional issue resolution by coordinating the appropriate technical and project stakeholders, defining actions and deadlines, removing barriers to execution, and escalating issues to the DC Project Manager where decisions or interventions are required.
- Provide structured CSA project reporting by consolidating progress, schedule, cost, risk, change, procurement, contractor performance, quality, key decisions, and upcoming milestone information for integration into overall project reporting and governance.
- Manage CSA completion and handover activities by coordinating package completion, punch-list closure, as-built documentation, warranties, regulatory documentation, turnover requirements, and interfaces with Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams.
- Support project governance and decision making by preparing clear analysis and recommendations on CSA-related issues, trade-offs, risks, changes, and priorities to enable timely decisions by the DC Project Manager and wider project leadership.
- Promote continuous improvement and standardization by capturing lessons learned from CSA delivery, identifying opportunities to improve constructability, contractor performance, cost efficiency, schedule certainty, and project execution, and supporting the application of best practices across IREN’s data center portfolio.

Requirements





- At least 8–10 years of experience in project management, construction management, engineering management, or project delivery, with significant exposure to civil, structural, and architectural packages, preferably within data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, energy projects, logistics facilities, or other large-scale technically complex construction projects.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; relevant project management or construction management certifications are well regarded.
- Strong technical understanding of CSA scope, including earthworks, site development, foundations, concrete and steel structures, building envelope, roofing, architectural works, drainage, roads, underground utilities, external works, temporary works, and associated construction methodologies.
- Strong project management capability across scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, contracts, change management, quality, stakeholder management, construction interfaces, completion, and handover.
- Demonstrated experience managing work packages and coordinating contractors, consultants, designers, and multidisciplinary project stakeholders within complex construction programs.
- Ability to read, interpret, and challenge civil, structural, and architectural drawings, specifications, technical submissions, RFIs, shop drawings, schedules, cost reports, change requests, contractor claims, risk registers, and project controls information.
- Solid understanding of the complete project lifecycle from design development and procurement through construction, commissioning interfaces, completion, handover, and close-out.
- Strong understanding of interfaces between CSA infrastructure and electrical and mechanical mission-critical systems, including equipment access, structural requirements, penetrations, underground services, equipment installation, commissioning dependencies, and operational requirements.
- Experience with project controls processes, including schedule management, cost forecasting, risk management, change control, progress measurement, contractor reporting, and project governance.
- Experience supporting procurement and commercial management of major construction packages, including scope definition, tender evaluation, contractor selection, variations, claims, and contract performance.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, civil and structural standards, environmental requirements, fire and life safety requirements, data center construction practices, and sustainability objectives applicable to mission-critical infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to coordinate effectively with the DC Project Manager, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Project Controls, Commissioning, Operations, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in an international, multidisciplinary project environment, including coordination with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
