WHAT IS TATTOOX? WHO ARE WE?
Tattoox is a platform built around body art and its connection to culture. Through our media, our academy, and unique experiences, we create spaces to discover, learn, connect, and engage with tattoo culture.
of Online
Our team is made up of creative professionals from different fields, including video editors, filmmakers, copywriters, PR specialists, designers, and social media & community managers. Everything we do is shaped by the perspective and expertise of these different profiles. That’s why teamwork, proactivity, and a collaborative mindset are essential to being part of Tattoox.
We are looking for a Head of Online Brand to lead the digital expression of Tattoox and turn our online presence into a powerful engine for brand, audience and demand.
This is not a role for someone who simply manages social media.
We are looking for someone who can think strategically, create boldly, execute rigorously and lead people exceptionally well.
Someone who knows what Tattoox should say, when we should say it, why it matters and how to make it happen.
THE ROLE
As Head of Online Brand, you will own the strategic direction of Tattoox's online brand, working across markets and channels.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of around 10 people across content, community, editing and creative production, and work closely with the CMO, Head of Acquisition and Physical Brand to ensure that all areas are working together towards the same business goals.
Your role will be to turn strategy into a clear digital ecosystem: what we communicate, to whom, where, when and with what objective.
You will be responsible for making sure Tattoox's digital presence is not only consistent with the brand, but also relevant, culturally connected, creatively ambitious and useful for the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
01. Own the Online Brand strategy
- Define and lead Tattoox's digital brand strategy together with the CMO, translating the overall brand vision and direction into a clear online strategy.
- Translate the overall brand strategy into a clear content and communication strategy, and bring it down into clear priorities, guidelines and ways of working for the team.
- Define priorities, audiences, formats, channels and content territories.
- Identify where and when Tattoox should show up — and, equally importantly, where it shouldn't.
- Build a clear and scalable digital ecosystem across markets and channels.
- Continuously identify opportunities to grow Tattoox's brand, audience and demand through digital.
02. Bring the brand's creative direction to life
- Develop and challenge creative concepts, formats and ideas.
- Push the team to create work that is distinctive, culturally relevant and recognisably Tattoox.
- Ensure the brand's creative direction is consistently translated across digital channels and formats.
- Protect the brand while continuously evolving how it expresses itself online.
- Turn insights, trends and cultural movements into relevant opportunities for the brand.
- Know when to follow a trend, when to adapt it and when to ignore it.
- Build a strong point of view around how Tattoox should look, feel and behave online, within the broader brand direction.
We are looking for someone who is not satisfied with “good enough”. Someone who can take a direction, turn it into something concrete and raise the quality of the work through their judgement and leadership.
03. Own the content operation
- Lead the planning and prioritisation of the content calendar.
- Make sure the right content is produced at the right time and for the right reason.
- Establish clear workflows, deadlines and responsibilities.
- Ensure the team works with enough structure to move fast without sacrificing quality.
- Build efficient processes for ideation, production, approval and publishing.
- Ensure the team has clear briefs and understands what success looks like.
- Make decisions when priorities compete.
- Ensure the different teams and markets are properly coordinated.
You will be the person who makes sure ideas actually happen.
04. Lead and develop the team
This is a major part of the role.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of around 10 people across content creation, community, editing and creative production.
We need a leader who is:
- Clear.
- Demanding.
- Fair.
- Decisive.
- Highly organised.
- Comfortable giving difficult feedback.
- Comfortable receiving it too.
- Able to identify strengths and weaknesses in their team.
- Able to set a high creative standard and hold people accountable to it.
- Able to make decisions and stand behind them.
You will be responsible for setting the standard, creating accountability and making sure everyone knows what is expected from them.
You should be comfortable telling someone what they are doing well, what they need to improve and when something simply isn't good enough.
We need someone with enough authority and confidence to make decisions, create accountability and maintain a high-performance culture, while building trust and developing the people around them.
05. Work closely with Acquisition and Physical Brand
You will work closely with the Head of Acquisition to connect brand,
content and demand generation, understanding how different initiatives contribute to the wider business.
You will also work closely with Physical Brand and the wider Brand & Acquisition team, ensuring that online and offline brand efforts are aligned, complementary and working towards the same overall brand and business objectives.
This role requires someone who can think beyond their own area and understand how Online Brand connects with the rest of the organisation.
06. Build a data-informed creative culture
You don't need to be a performance marketer.
But you do need to care about what happens after we publish.
You should be comfortable looking at:
- Audience growth
- Reach
- Engagement
- Retention
- Content performance
- Audience quality
- Traffic and demand signals
- Channel growth
- Business impact
And, most importantly, turning those insights into better decisions.
We want someone who can combine creative judgement with curiosity about data, using performance and audience insights to continuously improve the work.
