The role

We are looking for an Innovation and Exploitation Manager with experience in health research and innovation who can help complex projects generate lasting value beyond their funded period. The role will develop practical pathways for the continued use, adoption, integration and maintenance of project results, services, networks and other valuable outputs. The position reports to the Director of Strategy and Innovation and works across large, multidisciplinary European public-private consortia funded by the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and Horizon Europe.

Purpose of the position The successful candidate will lead and support innovation, uptake, impact and long-term sustainability activities across Teamit's health project portfolio. The role combines strategic analysis, hands-on implementation within projects and facilitation across diverse stakeholders. It requires the ability to understand diverse project results, structures and stakeholder needs, and to develop credible approaches for their continued use, integration, maintenance and impact beyond the funded project period.

This may include valuation of assets, such as advanced therapies, Al-enabled tools, data-governance frameworks, regulatory resources, training materials and policy recommendations, and to define realistic routes for their use beyond the funded project period. In addition, the candidate will contribute to the application of innovation, sustainability and impact methodologies within Teamit itself, helping to assess new business opportunities, emerging areas of activity, service diversification strategies and organisational growth priorities.

Key duties and responsibilites

· Lead or support the design, implementation and periodic update of project-level sustainability, uptake and impact strategies, roadmaps, deliverables and reports.

· Map and assess project's Key Exploitable Result (KER): clarify their scope, maturity, ownership and dependencies; identify target users; and conditions for continuation or wider adoption.

· Work collaboratively with scientific, technical, clinical, regulatory, legal, patient, policy and industry partners to agree sustainability objectives, results' ownership, responsibilities, decision points, milestones and post-project continuation mechanisms.

· Design and moderate sustainability and KER workshops, partner interviews and consensus-building sessions; translate discussions into clear decisions, action plans and follow-up records.





· Assess and document intellectual property, background, access rights, confidentiality, data-governance and freedom-to-operate considerations in coordination with relevant legal and technology-transfer experts from consortia's partners. The role is not expected to provide legal advice, but to coordinate and support the identification, assessment and management of these matters, acting as a facilitator between project partners and the relevant legal, regulatory and TTO experts.

· Develop sustainability models for project-level structures, considering governance, maintenance, hosting, resources, partnerships, integration into existing organisations or infrastructures and, where relevant, revenue or cost-recovery mechanisms.

· Connect exploitation and sustainability with communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, regulatory strategy and impact monitoring so that evidence, messages and engagement activities actively support uptake.

· Contribute to competitive European grant applications by developing impact, innovation, exploitation, sustainability, intellectual property and uptake components.

· Monitor relevant health, regulatory, digital, data and innovation trends and build relationships across academia, research infrastructures, healthcare organisations, patient groups, public authorities, professional networks, SMEs, industry and investors.

· Contribute to Teamit's internal exploitation and sustainability methodologies, templates, training and knowledge base, supporting consistent, high-quality delivery across projects.

Essential Requirements

· Master's degree in life sciences, with specialization in innovation management and/or MBA.

· At least 3 years of relevant experience in innovation, exploitation, technology transfer, research impact, business development or sustainability activities in collaborative health R&I; projects.

· Experience coordinating contributions across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and facilitating complex discussions towards clear decisions and shared ownership.

· Excellent analytical, writing,



presentation and workshop-facilitation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects and deadlines in parallel.

· Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English and fluency in Spanish.

Desirable experience

· Experience in IHI, Horizon Europe or comparable European collaborative research programmes.

· Knowledge of one or more of the following: advanced therapy medicinal products and regenerative medicine; clinical translation, manufacturing and regulatory pathways; pharmacovigilance and Al-enabled health solutions; real-world data; EHDS, health-data governance, intellectual property and trade secrets.

· Experience working with technology-transfer offices, legal/IP experts, regulators, HTA or healthcare bodies, research infrastructures, patient organisations, SMEs, industry partners or investors, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices companies.

· Experience with innovation and exploitation methodologies such as KER canvases, business or sustainability models, market and competitor analysis, business plans, adoption-readiness assessment, risk analysis, licensing or partnership pathways.
