About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Law Student Intern to join our Legal Department. The successful candidate will support both the Group's Central Offices and its network of schools, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of legal matters within an international education organisation.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of in-house legal advisory work, collaborating on corporate, commercial, employment, litigation, and corporate governance matters while working closely with different business areas across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Legal Team, the selected candidate will support the department in the following areas:
- Managing and organising legal documentation and departmental records.
- Reviewing and monitoring litigation and judicial documentation to ensure accurate tracking of ongoing proceedings.
- Assisting in the drafting, review, filing, and administration of contracts, agreements, and other commercial documentation.
- Supporting the preparation, review, and maintenance of corporate and governance documentation.
- Assisting with employment-related legal documentation and HR matters.
- Collaborating in the preparation of legal reports, internal memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Supporting the Legal Department in responding to legal queries from corporate departments and internal stakeholders.
- Providing legal support to the Group's schools on matters arising from their day-to-day operations.
- Maintaining legal databases, internal records, and departmental tracking tools.
- Conducting legal research and regulatory analysis on a variety of legal topics.
- Assisting with compliance-related initiatives and internal legal processes.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Law (final years preferred) or a Double Degree that includes Law.
- Eligible to sign an internship agreement with a university or educational institution.
- High level of English proficiency (minimum C1).
- Spanish language skills are highly valued.
- Additional languages will be considered an asset.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong interest in Corporate, Commercial, Employment, and Litigation Law.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and document management skills.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Strong analytical and legal research capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
