We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to operate far beyond the scope of a single team or service. Working directly with senior engineering leadership, you will tackle large, cross-area technical challenges that impact dozens — sometimes hundreds — of services across the platform. What the role involvesCollaborate with engineering leadership and teams to design and implement scalable, robust software solutionsAnalyse complex system challenges and develop clear strategies for improving architecture, scalability, and platform efficiencyDrive large cross-team initiatives from concept to execution, influencing decisions and aligning multiple teamsEnhance system automation across scale, resiliency, and deploymentBuild and improve core platform components and shared libraries (AWS, Go, Erlang, Kafka) used across the organisationWork with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and drive improvements across the platformBuild on our cloud-native platform, enabling greater use of AWS technology to accelerate delivery, scale, and resiliencyGrow the engineering community, elevating standards and helping teams operate more efficientlyWhat we are looking forMinimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a large-scale production environmentExperience designing and implementing solutions at an organisational level,
