Experteer Overview As an AI Engineer at TomTom, you will design, build and operate AI-powered features that reach integral users. You’ll turn advances in ML and LLMs into production-ready services, collaborating with product managers, software engineers, and scientists. You will define evaluation guardrails, optimize data pipelines, and drive AI initiatives from prototype to scalable solutions. - Design, develop and maintain production AI solutions, including LLM-based apps, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and ML model services
- Productionize models into low-latency, cost-efficient services that scale to global traffic
- Define automated evaluation frameworks, benchmarks and guardrails for accuracy, safety, latency and cost
- Build and optimize data pipelines for training, fine-tuning, embedding and inference with high quality and privacy compliance
- Implement CI/CD for ML, model versioning, experiment tracking and observability on cloud platforms

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Python or similar
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool use and agent frameworks; fine-tuning preferred
- Solid software architecture, API design and scalable systems practices
- Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of version control (Git)
- Excellent problem solving and cross-functional communication
- Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Hugging Face; familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, experiment tracking, model monitoring) preferred
