We are looking for a Medior Energy Market & Data Analytics professional to support a leading Belgian Transmission System Operator (TSO) within its Scenarios, Market & Adequacy Analysis (SMA) team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse and challenge energy scenarios and projections for Belgium and Europe
- Collect and consolidate historical & projected energy market data
- Analyse electricity consumption across transport, heating, industry, etc.
- Assess developments in renewable and conventional generation
- Support energy transition and future electricity system scenarios
- Prepare stakeholder presentations, workshops and reports
- Develop and improve analytical tools and data visualisations
- Support market intelligence and weekly energy newsletters

Must-Have Skills:





- R or Python – strong proficiency in at least one
- Advanced Excel
- VBA
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge and interest in the European electricity/energy market
- Understanding of energy transition, decarbonisation and European energy policies
- Strong analytical and data-handling skills
- Experience with stakeholder coordination/consultation

Nice to Have:

- ANTARES / electricity market simulation
- Power BI
- QGIS
- Experience with electricity market modelling or power system simulations
