We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect specialising in Data Science and Advanced Analytics to join a project in Brussels.

The successful candidate will have more than 10 years of relevant professional experience and a demonstrable record of delivering sophisticated analytics solutions. This is a hands-on position, so practical implementation experience is essential; academic Data Science experience alone will not be sufficient.

Key responsibilities

- Design and implement advanced analytics solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Apply techniques including machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, AI agents and mathematical optimisation.
- Develop data and analytics solutions using Python, SQL and ETL processes.
- Implement advanced analytics solutions within controlled production environments.
- Work with Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
- Collaborate with technical teams, end users and senior business stakeholders.
- Present findings and explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.




- Contribute to Agile delivery and ensure technical work supports the final product.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to maintain modern Data Science practices.

Essential qualifications

- 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Data Science, advanced analytics or a closely related field.
- Strong Python proficiency.
- Strong SQL and/or ETL experience.
- Practical knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytical techniques.
- Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
- Experience implementing analytics solutions in production environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly and solve problems creatively.
- Previous experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable experience

- Scala and/or Apache Spark.
- Hadoop ecosystem.
- Cloudera distribution of Hadoop.
- Natural language processing.
- Large language models and AI agents.
- Mathematical optimisation.

Applicants should be able to work under a hybrid arrangement in Brussels and have the appropriate right to work in Belgium.
