Our Android applications are a critical part of Fever's operational ecosystem, powering cashless payments, access control, ticketing, recharges and other on‐site workflows. We are looking for an Android Developer to join our team and help us evolve our Android platform. You will work mainly with Kotlin, contribute to the progressive migration from Java, and help build scalable and reliable solutions used by millions of users in real time.
Design, develop and maintain native Android applications, primarily using Kotlin, following Android best practices and Google design guidelines. Maintain and evolve existing Android applications built in Java, contributing to their progressive migration to Kotlin. Manage asynchronous workflows using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, while maintaining existing implementations based on RxJava.
Use tools such as Gradle and Fastlane to automate build,
testing and deployment processes. Build software used at large‐scale live events across 10+ countries, running on mobile devices, kiosks/totems and custom hardware for access control and cashless operations. 5+ years of experience as a native Android developer. Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
Proven ability to read, understand and maintain Java code in a mixed Java/Kotlin codebase.
Strong knowledge of the Android ecosystem: Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack (Compose is a plus), Coroutines and/or RxJava, and dependency injection with Dagger or Hilt.
Experience building Android applications with offline/online support, background tasks, or multi‐process architectures. Good English level to read technical documentation, research solutions and communicate in writing. It would be a plus if you Experience working on global‐scale products (multiple time zones, currencies and languages).
Experience working with NFC/RFID on Android (reading and writing).
