The architecture team is part of the Buildings Unit within Mott MacDonald and provides services across all project stages on a wide variety of projects. We have a diverse portfolio of interesting projects in most building typologies where we work with clients across the UK, Europe and globally and cover all aspects of the project life-cycle. This is an exciting opportunity for an Architect to join our team, to work on long-term project opportunities while developing your own career.

You'll be part of a growing architecture team, coordinating proactively with other engineering disciplines as well as running projects autonomously. The successful candidate should be prepared to work principally on UK-based projects across a variety of sectors in the short to medium term, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Spain, the UK and Ireland. As our portfolio of work in Spain continues to grow, the role is expected to evolve to include delivery of Spanish and wider European projects.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of Mott MacDonald's architecture business in Spain, while supporting the delivery of major projects across the UK and Europe.



The ideal candidate will be degree qualified or equivalent in Architecture with work experience within an Architectural Studio, Engineering Consultancy or similar environment and have suitable experience of running projects as part of a team. The candidate will be creative and confident, with a keen eye for detail, possessing a good working technical knowledge base and able to demonstrate project-running experience, working as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst also coordinating with other design team members.

Architect with eligibility to practise in Spain Ability to deliver projects from both a design and technical background Experience of project delivery, working to deadlines Experience of working with Revit and BIM Awareness of relevant technical legislation and guidance, including the Código Técnico de la Edificación (CTE), planning requirements and applicable European standards Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously Previous experience of working within the UK construction industry and familiarity with UK project delivery processes, standards and regulations would be beneficial but is not essential Transport sector project experience Please be advised that offers for this role may be conditional upon completion of background screening checks and, where required by specific projects, obtaining the appropriate level of security clearance.
