For one of our key clients, we are looking for an experienced Lead Data Quality professional to join a strategic data transformation initiative focused on ensuring data quality, governance, and consistency across key business functions.

Position Details

Role Title: Lead Data Quality

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite)

Start Date: November 1st (earlier start possible)

Duration: 8 months + possible extension

Workload: 40 hours/week

Project Environment The successful candidate will join a strategic Data Quality and Data Governance initiative initially focused on the IT organization, with future expansion across additional business areas.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of Financial and HR data throughout transformation and migration processes, validating that business rules are correctly applied and that all reporting outputs provide reliable and consistent information.

We are looking for a highly senior professional capable of combining strong technical expertise with business and financial acumen. The idóneo candidate will be able to challenge data outcomes, interpret results, and validate that data-driven insights accurately reflect business reality.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Data Quality activities across financial and HR data domains, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and reliability throughout transformation and migration projects.
- Analyze end-to-end data lineage, from source systems and data extraction processes through to reporting and visualization layers.
- Define and execute data validation strategies to ensure business rules are correctly applied during data migration and harmonization initiatives.
- Review and challenge data outputs, reports,



and KPIs to ensure they accurately reflect business and financial realities.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and Data teams to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
- Establish and monitor Data Quality controls, governance standards, and compliance practices across the organization.
- Support the review of data extraction, transformation, and consumption processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders and act as the reference point for Data Quality across multiple departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to data governance, reporting accuracy, and data management practices.
- Ensure the successful adoption of Data Quality best practices within strategic enterprise transformation programs.

Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Analytics, or related data management roles.
- Strong experience working with financial data, controlling processes, and financial reporting environments.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts such as CAPEX, OPEX, financial reporting, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
- Experience validating data quality and consistency in transformation, migration, or system implementation projects.
- Proven expertise in data lineage analysis and traceability across complex data ecosystems.
- Experience with Finance and HR data migration projects.




- Ability to validate that reports, dashboards, and business metrics accurately represent business performance.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Power BI (3-5+ years).
- Solid knowledge of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Compliance frameworks.
- Experience reviewing ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows.
- Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders across different business areas.
- Fluent English.

Nice to Have
- Experience in data harmonization and master data unification initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs involving multiple business departments.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, particularly within Finance processes.
- Experience establishing Data Quality frameworks and governance models in large organizations.
