Overview

ALOHAS seeks a FTW Product Development Lead to own end-to-end product development for footwear (and later accessories). You will build and lead the development function, establishing processes, standards, and supplier relationships, reporting to the Chief Product Officer. This hands-on role blends craft with building scalable structure, collaborating with Design, Merchandising, and Production. You drive fast, data-informed decisions to advance sustainability and on-demand manufacturing. A strong impact awaits as you shape the development engine and strategy.

Responsabilidades

- Lead the full product development cycle from tech-pack to GTM-ready samples for footwear (and later accessories)
- Review proto, sealing, and pre-production samples with precise technical feedback
- Validate new materials and processes before production
- Manage relationships with factories and material suppliers (Spain/Portugal)
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive innovation, sustainability, and efficiency




- Lead and upskill a small product development team, establishing structure and autonomy
- Define product development KPIs and report to senior leadership
- Improve and scale development processes to ensure reliability and speed
- Own the product development calendar in collaboration with Merchandising and protect GTM milestones
- Analyze sales/returns data to inform product decisions
- Maintain product data accuracy across PLM/Centric, ERP, POS and act as cross-functional POC

Requisitos principales

- 7+ years in footwear product development (factory- or brand-side)
- Deep technical knowledge of footwear construction, materials, fit, and manufacturing; leather goods a plus
- Proven experience leading or structuring a team and hands-on
- Experience with suppliers/factories in Spain or Portugal
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems (Centric); strong Excel skills
- Ability to translate sales and return data into product decisions
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Solution-first mindset and ability to meet deadlines; willingness to travel ~20%
