Overview of the Role

As an SAP WM/EWM Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, configuring, and supporting advanced SAP Warehouse Management solutions within both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. This position is crucial for ensuring seamless warehouse operations, optimizing supply chain processes, and driving digital transformation initiatives for global clients. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

Detailed Responsibilities

- Lead and support the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support of SAP WM/EWM solutions in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Configure and manage end-to-end warehouse management processes, including inbound and outbound processing, internal warehouse movements, putaway strategies, picking and packing, replenishment, physical inventory, cross-docking, handling unit (HU) management, yard management, and wave management.
- Set up and maintain warehouse organizational structures such as Warehouse Number, Storage Types, Storage Sections, Activity Areas, Work Centers, and Bin Structures.




- Design and implement advanced warehouse processes, including POSC (Post Processing Oriented Storage Control), LOSC (Layout Oriented Storage Control), RF Framework (RFUI), and Warehouse Order Creation Rules (WOCR).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and document AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
- Support integration between EWM/WM and SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, TM, QM, as well as external warehouse automation systems.
- Oversee master data migration, queue monitoring, IDOC monitoring, interface troubleshooting, and ongoing production support activities.
- Prepare functional specifications and work with ABAP and integration teams for the development of enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and RF solutions.
- Execute project phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, go-live, hypercare, and post-production support.
- Conduct end-user training sessions and maintain comprehensive process and configuration documentation.

Skill Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Warehouse Management with deep expertise in SAP EWM and/or SAP WM.
- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA EWM implementations and support projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills in:

- Warehouse Task Management
- Handling Unit Management
- Batch Management
- Physical Inventory
- Replenishment




- Wave Management
- Yard Management
- POSC/LOSC processes
- Proficiency with Warehouse Monitor, Queue Monitoring, IDOC Monitoring, and RF Framework.
- Solid integration knowledge across SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM modules.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation, 3PL integrations, barcode/RF scanning solutions, and external logistics systems.
- Participation in at least one end-to-end SAP EWM implementation project.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Other Requirements (Optional)

- Experience with Embedded EWM and Decentralized EWM architectures.
- Exposure to SAP TM, SAP GTS, SAP Fiori, and warehouse automation technologies.
- Experience integrating EWM with third-party WMS, 3PL providers, conveyor systems, and automated warehouse equipment.
- SAP EWM Certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with general rollout projects and AMS (Application Management Services) support models.
