Experteer Overview In this role you will help build and evolve the foundational Elasticsearch platform, focusing on ease of use, performance, maintainability, and security. You will shape core infrastructure, services, and scripting, while enabling developers to extend Elasticsearch via plugins or Painless scripting and improving observability. You’ll work across teams and open-source collaborators to deliver serverless, cloud, and on-premise solutions. - Contribute to large core infrastructure projects for Elasticsearch
- Identify and develop automation opportunities to boost developer productivity
- Design and implement horizontally scalable features and APIs
- Address performance and concurrency challenges with practical solutions
- Improve observability and operation of cloud Elasticsearch systems

- Support engineers with challenging issues

- Strong algorithms and data structures background
- Proficiency in core Java and concurrency concepts
- Low-level Java experience (concurrency, parallelism, classloaders)
- Hands-on CI/CD experience (Buildkite, Argo CD, GitOps)
- Experience leading large-scale projects across engineering teams
- Ability to own projects from design to delivery
- Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and debug complex systems
