Overview

In this role, you apply toxicology expertise to shape safe, sustainable flavor solutions at IFF. You will work with R&D; to assess safety across flavor ingredients and technologies, guiding regulatory submissions and scientific substantiation. You’ll translate complex data into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders, regulators and customers, while leveraging digital tools to enhance toxicology workflows. This position sits in a collaborative, innovation-driven team and offers a hybrid setup in Hilversum or Barcelona, with integral impact. You will help drive safe, evidence-based decisions that support IFF’s taste leadership and digital transformation.

Responsabilidades

- Provide toxicology and risk assessment for flavor ingredients across global markets
- Collaborate with R&D; to evaluate safety profiles of new ingredients and technologies
- Design and coordinate testing strategies for ingredient approvals and substantiation across regions
- Translate toxicology data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and customers




- Support customer inquiries with scientific safety assessments for food, beverage, nutrition, and pharmaceutical applications
- Leverage digital platforms and data tools to improve toxicology workflows and decision-making
- Represent IFF in industry associations and expert networks for collaboration and advocacy
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments to maintain best practices in ingredient safety globally

Requisitos principales

- Advanced degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Risk Assessment, or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in toxicology or product safety
- Strong toxicological evaluation experience and ability to interpret complex data
- Effective communication of technical findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with R&D;, Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, Quality, and Commercial teams
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills in a global matrix environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
