Experteer Overview
As an Applied AI Engineer focused on Codex, you design, build, and deploy AI-powered coding workflows for enterprise software teams. You work with engineering leaders and developers to move ideas from prototypes to production, shaping reusable architectures and patterns. You will evaluate AI coding systems, guide safe and reliable deployments, and drive measurable improvements in engineering productivity. This role blends hands-on coding with strategic customer engagement to scale Codex adoption across organizations.

• Identify high-value Codex opportunities and translate them into architectures, implementation plans, evaluation strategies, and success criteria
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered software development workflows that enhance planning, writing, testing, reviewing, debugging, and delivering software
• Develop prototypes, evaluation harnesses, reference implementations, integrations, and workflow automations (often using Codex)
• Help customers move from experiments to production workflows with sustained adoption and scaled impact
• Create systematic evaluation approaches for AI coding systems using tasks, graders, production signals, and feedback
• Make sound technical decisions across models, agents, tools, environments, reliability, observability, latency, cost, safety, security, and readiness
• Diagnose implementation challenges, reproduce failures, test hypotheses, and remove blockers
• Lead technical workshops and hands-on enablement to drive safe, effective adoption of AI coding workflows
• Capture real-world Codex deployment insights and translate into product feedback and requirements
• Build reusable architectures, tooling, guides, and patterns, including contributions to OpenAI Cookbook




• Influence engineering strategy by mapping AI coding capabilities to developer workflows and organizational processes
• Engage with OpenAI Product, Research, Engineering, Security, Sales, and Codex teams to align deployments with product direction

Responsabilidades
• Proven track record designing and delivering software or AI systems in enterprise environments (prototype to production)
• Strong coding background with substantial contributions in code, architecture, evaluation, debugging, integrations, or production engineering
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or similar language is valued
• Active user of AI coding tools with strong viewpoint on improving developer productivity and workflows
• Experience building high-signal prototypes, integrations, automations, and production solutions
• Ability to evaluate AI coding systems with representative tasks, automated evaluations, production signals, and developer feedback
• Familiarity with enterprise production requirements: tooling integrations, reliability, observability, security, privacy, data governance, performance, cost
• Ability to connect technical decisions to developer workflows, adoption, productivity, and business outcomes
• Clear, credible communication with hands-on engineers, leaders, security teams, product leaders, and executives
• Willingness to lead technical workshops and hands-on sessions for adoption of new workflows and technologies
• High agency, strong technical judgment, and end-to-end ownership in ambiguous settings
• Ability to learn quickly, challenge assumptions, and collaborate with humility
• English and Spanish fluency
